Who is Chris Kerby?

As a previous adjunct professor at Bellevue University, small business owner and Navy veteran, I strive to build and develop people through various forms of education, consulting, and training. That tied with my educational background in Business Management and Organizational Leadership, enables me to continue being an effective professor and engage students comprehensively. I’ve created leadership and management training programs and manuals to streamline operations while leading more than 1000 Sailors in projects and prioritization of operational activities. I spent most of my career counseling and mentoring junior Sailors to provide the best path to career advancement and professional development. As a graduate of the Naval War College’s Senior Enlisted Academy, I was better able to provide educational opportunities for my Sailors, training them on leadership topics and guiding them in career progression milestones. I took all I learned from the military and applied that to opening my own construction business in which I was able to create proper training programs to help grow my employees, both technically and professionally and growing revenues of over 5 million annually. These experiences give me the tenacity and mindset to take on the challenge of teaching and providing guidance to career minded individuals. Educating, both in formal and informal manners, has always been a passion. It's inspiring to see people apply their learning to their careers and daily lives.
